Ladies, we love a good book, don’t we?
The weekend has finally come around, the house is cleaned, your meals have been prepped, and you’ve even completed one of Jillian Michal’s 20-minute workouts. Whew! Now that you’ve finally get to enjoy some peace and quiet, what are you going to do next?
I love to read – magazines, news article, my twitter feed. Still, there isn’t anything that’s quite as inspirational and motivating as sitting down with a good book. Whether you’re reading it outside on a nice sunny day, cozying up next to your fireplace, or listening to your favorite audiobook on your way to work – these eight female authors can teach us a thing or two about women empowerment.
1. Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay
2. Bossypants by Tina Fey
3. Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
4. You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero
5. We: A Manifesto For Women Everywhere by Gillian Anderson and Jennifer Nadel
6. Yes, Please by Amy Poehler
7. We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
8. I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
